Road to Recovery

Hey Everyone,

This is from Katy and Claudia.
Our sister Courtney was involved in a very bad car accident yesterday, Saturday November 15. She was driving North down RT 108 when we think she must have lost control of her car and crossed the double yellow into oncoming traffic. Right now she is in the ICU at Rhode Island Hospital. She has broken ribs 1 and 2, and her shoulder. She has a fractured skull and small fractures in her lower spine and her lungs collapsed. She sustained injuries to her brain. This info is NOT meant to freak anyone out, its just to let you know what is going on. *She is being treated by the best doctors and right now they are telling us that she can heal from everything*, but the swelling in her brain needs to go down. We made this group so that you can remember her in your thoughts and prayers, and leave her get well messages.

We all love and adore Courtney, she is so funny and smart and strong and we cant wait for her to get better.

We want to say that we are so grateful for the outpouring of support our family has already recieved. We will keep praying and hope you will too.

Hospital address:
593 Eddy Street
Providence, RI 02902
ICU Floor 5, Room 108

Craig,
I just heard about your daughter, and was sorry to hear about the accident. I've read the blog and I'm glad to hear that things are going better.
You, your family and especially your daughter are in my thoughts and prayers. Continue to stay strong and God Bless.

Mr. and Mrs. Hollingsworth,

Everyday I think about Courtney, and pray for her recovery to become an opportunity for the Glory of God to shine upon our dark world.

I may think about her several times in a day, but there is ONE who never diverts His attention from her lowly state. The bible says, "If His eye is on the sparrow that falls to the ground", how much more does He watch us?

I believe that He cares for Courtney more than we ever could, and He has her best interest in mind. There is nothing that would befall her that has not been father-filtered; that is, measured by the hands of a loving God. And whatsoever does befall her, is only meant to reveal His power to the world around us.

You are not alone in what you feel, but He weeps with you. But weeping will not last forever....
Joy comes in the morning.

Im so excited to read about the progress, and I wait with anticipation for the Grand Finale!

The gift of Christmas extended to you and your family.

Please call me whenever you are able to.
