Courtney is somewhat more alert today. She is moving her arms and legs around more. She is squeezing fingers and pulled on my and twice today. The first when I told her she probably felt yucky from all the pocking and prodding and the second when I talked to her about her sisters.
She had a bronchioscope this morning to check for pneumonia. There are signs of pneumonia so Drs started her on antibiotics today.
She is still doing most of the breathing on her own but is getting a big more assistance because she's breathing a little too fast. She seems to want to take over the ventilator - just like the bossy Courtney we know her to be!
Fr. Tom from PC came by this am to give blessings. Many more visits from family and friends in the waiting room. Many, many emails and messages of support and prayers.
