11/20 - Mom's Update

The doctors are taking the chest tube out of Courtney's left lung this afternoon.

They have turned off the 'brain drain'. If the cranial fluid pressure in her brain stays in normal ranges they can remove the tube from her brain tomorrow.

Also tomorrow, Drs will perform a tracheostomy on Courtney. This will allow them to remove the breathing tube from her mouth. It is safer for Courtney from an infection standpoint. Her vocal chords will also be healthier for having this tube removed - and we all know how important talking is to Courtney!

We continue to pray that all these things go well over the next 24 hours and she makes further progress.
