Courtney is having a much quieter day today. She has had her eyes opened quite a bit today.
Cultures show a different bacteria in her lungs that will hopefully react to the new course of antibiotics.
When physical therapist came in to stretch her out today her blood pressure and heart rate actually went down! She really seems to enjoy moving around - not a surprise.
We are trying to stretch out her limbs as much as possible. She still has great strength and flexbility which is a blessing.
Her fevers have been under control today. Her breathing is still unpredictable and attempts to turn the ventilator off were not successful. They will try again tomorrow.
We are very grateful to have put yesterday behind us and for the small steps Courtney has made.
We know there will be rough days ahead and we can not tell you all enough how much your emails, cards, letters, thoughts and prayers have helped keep us strong.
