Mom's Update

We are still waiting to hear wether Courtney will go today.

Last night her fevers continued, as high as 102.8 but her white count is down.

She may be fighting something off on her own and successfully.

The fevers could be due to brain activity. All of it is somewhat of a guessing game even for staff.

Since all cultures have come back normal and the xray from last night was normal along with the decreasing white count it will be up to Braintree as to whether or not they accept Courtney with her current issues.

We will keep you posted. In the meantime she did not sleep last night again and so is sleeping soundly now. Like infants often due, she is 'upside down' with her sleepiing schedule.

The nurses keep telling her it's time for her to leave! We agree. We will keep hoping and praying that she will soon be on her way.

Hi there,I'm a member of Immaculate Conception Parish and have been praying for you all during this ordeal. My sister was in a very bad automobile accident way back in 1969. She too was in a coma and had to relearn everything, but she did relearn it all. One thing we began with her was an alphabet board so she could communicate with us. If Courtney is beginning to follow commands maybe she could point out the letters to the words she wants to say. Just a thought. My prayers are with you all. Cheryl Irons

Throughout this ordeal, the only thing I know for sure is that your strong faith is meant to be an example and a lesson to those around you. You may never know who you bring to the Lord, but I am certain you are reaching those you are meant to reach.

Hi,
Phil let Tom and I know about this blog that was set up and today is the first day I have read it. We have been asking Phil for updates every time we speak to him. We have had Courtney and the whole family in our prayers through this difficult ordeal. From spending time with Courtney for all those summers many years ago, I know that she is a very strong person and will come through this. She is so lucky to have such a great family and network of friends to support her through this time. I will be returning frequently to the site to check on her progress and please know that I am thinking of her often! Also, Tom and I welcomed a little baby boy on 11/26, named Jack Hayden. I will send some pictures for you all to show off to Courtney. Maybe it will bring a smile to her face! Love your favorite babysitter :) Allie
